Legacy at SPSPM
Sardar Patel Shiskhan Prasarak Mandal, (Nandurbar SPSPM) laid its first stone in 1939 and since then aims at igniting the flame of education in the rural areas and empowering children by imparting the basic learning skills through its primary and secondary schools.
Our belief is that no children should stay deprived of education just because of less or no access to it. To ensure every child gets basic education despite his economic or societal condition and has opportunities to experience a learned life, every branch of SPSPM strives hard with no complaints.
Holistic learning is what the administration and staff here believes in and thus focuses on both academic and non-academic learning. Every student is encouraged to develop a positive sense of responsibility towards the society via various extra-curricular activities along with the regular academic curriculum.
Hardly 5 students yearly then to almost 2500+ yearly now, SPSPM has stood true to its values and is growing strong each day.
About Us
Determination, initiative and persistence are the three pillars of SPSPM. The land of this primitive organization has witnessed the blessings of the ‘Iron Man Of India’- Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel during its early establishment. Challenging the times of 1939 where education was hardly considered as an important element and migration for education was nearly impossible, the founders decided to bring a reform.
SPSPM’s journey started with establishing a hostel in Nandurbar for students who travelled to & fro from distance to reach their schools. It worked on this mere thought of lessening the travel time and cost for years without asking more than Rs.7 as the living fee. Hardly 5 students then to almost 2500+ now, SPSPM has stood true to its values and is growing stronger each day.
Years passed and looking at the number of students at the hostel, the thought of having a school of their own kept the founders’ mind occupied all the time. This thought got converted into the ‘Abhinav Vidyalaya’ in Nandurbar in 1964.
Starting with a primary school and looking at the needs of the changing times, the founders developed a distant perspective. And since then, SPSPM started spreading its branches in the regions nearby. In some years, new schools were established while in some years, hostels in some areas.

Inspire- National Level Exhibition & Project Competition-2011
An 8th std student from 2011 batch- Chaudhari Swapnil Raghunath won a national level award for his project – Single Energy Double Work (aimed at saving electric energy especially benefiting the farmers).
